2020 was a difficult year for new puppy owners. Daisy, Inca and Eden all had litters. Because of Covid new owners were not allowed to come view litters or come collect their puppy. This meant I did a lot of travelling delivering pups or meeting people halfway.
My daughter Karla came up with the idea of using WHATSAPP. This worked really well, I would send potential puppy owners videos on a weekly basis, normally on a Sunday. These became known as ‘The weekly pupdates’ and were waited for with anticipation. I understand they were watched over and over again.
After the 2nd litter let we set up a WHATSAPP group for all new puppy owners who wanted to join. This has been so useful, firstly for me to post advise and for the owners to ask questions. As a result of the new owners not being able to meet the dam of their pup the suggestion of a reunion was put forward. As always I try very hard to fulfill requests so I asked a friend if I could use her field. As a result we will be having the first SERENLAS reunion on Bank Holiday Monday May 31st 2021.
I will take along Inca and Eden and Caroline will bring Daisy the 3 dams for 2020. I have been asked to demo ear and feet trimming so Paris is growing her coat in readiness. I am very much looking forward to seeing haw the pups have developed.
